Safety Button empowers people who work alone to take control of their personal safety directly from their smartphone, with no need for extra gadgets. Accessible through the Alarm.com app or a quick-access home screen widget.
Safety Button allows workers to discreetly signal for help if they feel threatened, are injured, or encounter a hazardous situation. By pressing and holding the button, a worker can immediately act without drawing attention; if released, a 10-second countdown begins, during which the alert can be canceled with a PIN. If not canceled, a trained operator is immediately notified and receives the worker’s real-time location—enabling rapid dispatch of emergency services if the worker is unable to communicate or the situation escalates.
Lone workers can use the Notes feature in the app to share details like the location of the assignment, scheduled duties, specific site hazards, and more. This added context gives first responders valuable information to customize their approach, speeding up effective assistance.
