Unsolicited Telemarketing Calls Policy
Alarm.com does not conduct telemarketing of any kind – we do not place marketing calls to consumers, we do not use outbound call centers, and we do not authorize unsolicited or illegal telemarketing calls using our brand. We do not sell our technology services and solutions directly to consumers. Instead, our solutions are exclusively sold, set up and supported by a nationwide network of independent companies. While these companies are authorized to resell our solutions, they are independent businesses, and they are not permitted to use the Alarm.com name, logo, or website to represent themselves or their companies as Alarm.com.
We support efforts to prevent unsolicited, unauthorized, or illegal marketing calls to consumers, and our independent authorized service providers are required to follow all federal, state, and local laws when they resell Alarm.com products and services. Any unsolicited telemarketing calls to consumers that claim to be by or on behalf of Alarm.com are unauthorized and violate our policies.
If you receive an unsolicited, unauthorized, or illegal telemarketing call or unauthorized pre-recorded message, we recommend that you report these calls. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) provides several resources to help consumers avoid or stop unwanted telemarketing. For example:
