AI Video Event Search uses AI and natural-language queries to search across your saved video clip thumbnails and quickly find the most relevant clips. It’s designed to eliminate manual searching. However, it only analyzes saved clip thumbnails, not the entire recorded footage in the clip.
The AI-powered search feature works across saved clip thumbnails from both Alarm.com cameras and video doorbells, as well as compatible third-party cameras that can generate video clips on your account.
Yes. You can add and remove cameras from AI Video Event Search at any time from the settings.
No. Only individuals with your permission to view saved clips can use the feature, and you can remove logins at any time.
Yes. Searches are limited to 200 characters. Some query types aren’t supported, such as any with vulgar or offensive language, requests to contact emergency services (e.g., “call the police”), and negations (e.g., “without…”). Voice-to-text search is only supported in the mobile app.
