In 2025, Alarm.com moved beyond traditional security to deliver faster, smarter, and more integrated technology.
We launched AI-powered deterrence, expanded our video hardware lineup, and scaled our global footprint—all aimed to give our service providers a competitive edge. These milestones didn’t just grow our platform; they set the stage for your success in 2026.
AI-Powered Proactive Crime Prevention
In 2025, artificial intelligence made security smarter, helping homes and businesses stop trouble before it starts.
At the heart of these advancements was AI Deterrence (AID)—a crime deterrent solution that delivers AI-generated verbal warnings to potential intruders based on environmental observations, like their clothing color and surroundings. With support for Spanish and French Canadian, AID is designed to scale across international markets.
AID pairs well with Remote Video Monitoring (RVM), allowing partners to deliver layers of protection that intercept incidents before they escalate and drive away trespassers. Both services open the door to high-value solutions for both residential and commercial properties—and offer partners recurring revenue opportunities that fit seamlessly into their existing workflows.
Expanding Our Video Hardware Portfolio
Video remained one of the fastest‑evolving areas of connected security in 2025. Robust expansions to our hardware line-up were designed to help partners sell more video and include flexible options for every property type.
Each of our new cameras feature powerful AI-driven Video Analytics plus proactive deterrence, and professional installation and support.
The new Wi-Fi Spotlight Camera (ADC-V730) delivers clear 4MP video, dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, and a loud speaker. The built-in spotlight enables color night vision and responds intelligently to detected activity, while Bluetooth® enrollment simplifies installation. Plus, support for onboard microSD recording allows customers to capture continuous local footage, maximizing both reliability and efficiency.
For customers seeking high-quality indoor coverage, the Indoor Wi-Fi Camera (ADC-V516) offers pro-grade features in a compact, budget-friendly design that’s a great fit for domestic and international markets. 1080p HDR video, intelligent analytics, and two-way audio allow customers to check in on family and pets from anywhere.
Lastly, our latest Video Doorbell (ADC-VDB775) introduces vehicle, animal, and familiar face detection to our doorbell family. Vivid 4MP video and expansive field of view deliver increased awareness, while upgrades like Bluetooth® enrollment save on install time. Its wide range of operating temperatures (-58° to 120°F (-50° to 50°C)) also makes it ideal for a diverse range of installation climates.
Growing Our Commercial-Grade Video Monitoring Solutions
Commercial clients benefited from a stronger, more unified toolkit in 2025. We launched Alarm.com's very first intercom solution: Video Intercom Mobile Directory. This feature transforms existing Alarm.com entry management hardware—like video doorbells and access control—into a fully functional video intercom.
Visitors start by scanning a QR code set up by property managers to access the directory and initiate a call, while business tenants can quickly view, verify, and buzz in guests.

The award‑winning Cell Connector for Video extended surveillance into remote or network‑challenged sites without third‑party gear, broadening where partners can deliver dependable coverage. Our Everon partnership further unified intrusion, video, and access control in one console—raising the standard for mobile‑friendly, all‑in‑one commercial security.

Enhancements to our commercial video management system include added support for third-party video cameras. Support for third-party cameras initially launched in 2023 for live view and 24/7 recording, but this year, Alarm.com for Business expanded its integrations using ONVIF and VAPIX to include support for multisensor, panoramic, and PTZ cameras.
Advanced analytics for object detection, activity monitoring, and audio are now supported, along with two-way audio, to create end-to-end support for a diversity of customer needs.
Legacy System Upgrades Made Easy
The Alarm.com Universal Communicator (AUC) brings compatible legacy security panels onto our all‑in‑one platform—without the expense or hassle of a full system replacement.
With this takeover device, homeowners and businesses can enjoy convenient control right from the Alarm.com app with features like remote arming/disarming, instant alerts, and location‑based reminders. Whether upgrading one property or streamlining security across multiple sites, the AUC delivers a smarter, more connected experience.
New Ways for Smarter Living
From home to the road, we’re making more strides to keep customers comfortable, connected, and in control.
The launch of the ADC‑T25 Smart Thermostat brought easy installation with flexible wiring options and broad HVAC compatibility. The modern, intuitive design is budget‑friendly and fully integrated with the Alarm.com platform.
We also brought the connected home into the driver’s seat with Apple CarPlay® support. Now, customers can access key Alarm.com app features through their vehicle’s built‑in display while on the go, without taking their eyes off the road. Check whether the garage door is closed, arm or disarm the security system, or activate a Scene to adjust lights, thermostats, and locks.

Industry Trade Show Presence
Big innovations deserve a big stage—and throughout 2025, we put our latest technology in front of the industry at some of its most influential events.
At CES, the spotlight was on AI Deterrence (AID) and the Outdoor Floodlight Camera, showing how layered proactive defensive solutions can stop threats before an alarm is even triggered.
ISC West highlighted the breadth and depth of the Alarm.com family, with Alarm.com, OpenEye, Shooter Detection Systems (SDS), and newly acquired CHeKT all in one booth. The collective exhibit demonstrated how our diverse offering—from AI‑powered deterrence to robust video monitoring—equips partners with solutions that meet the unique needs of any customer.
At Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2025, SDS debuted its field-proven outdoor gunshot detection technology, SDS Perimeter, while OpenEye showcased its trusted cloud video security solutions.
Partner Enablement and Service Tools
All this innovation only matters if our partners have the right resources to make every install easier, get the support they need faster, and strengthen their customer relationships.
We introduced Revenue Retention Services to equip service providers with data and tools to reduce customer attrition. Through timely notifications for at‑risk customers, partners can proactively reach out with in-app offers and email campaigns, keeping customers engaged and connected, while ensuring ongoing service.
We also gave Gopher Info, our AI‑powered assistant, a major upgrade. Powered by advanced language models and proprietary data, it provides answers to a range of product, install, and account management questions on the go. Responses are more conversational and context-aware than ever, with suggestions for additional resources.
Plus, for issues requiring live assistance, Gopher intelligently connects you to the right support rep, providing full context so you don’t need to repeat details. The new Ask Gopher Widget brings Gopher directly to technicians’ mobile device home screens, giving them instant access to answers in the field.
Bold New Marketing Campaigns
We rolled out a bold new consumer ad campaign across social and radio designed to cut through the noise—and drive high-intent homeowners to our authorized partners. By focusing on real people and real stories, the Serious Security campaign shows exactly how Alarm.com makes a meaningful difference in everyday life, while reinforcing the value of professionally installed, professionally monitored security.
The first testimonial features Ryan’s story: a fire, three dogs, and a smart security system that helped save everything.
Another testimonial highlights Lilo—a French bulldog who can’t swim. When Lilo wandered into his neighbor's pool while no one was home, it was the Alarm.com system that detected the emergency and sent a smart alert—turning a near-tragedy into a life-saving moment.
